I’m fascinated by the thought of color hypnotizing and luring pollinators into a flower's center. Similarly, I want the colors and composition of each piece to draw the viewer in and invite them to imagine a secret world within a world.
About the Artist
Anton Nazarko (b. 1981) is a Los Angeles-based artist working with hand-dyed and painted fabrics. Each assemblage reads as a textural poem, combining and layering various silks into forms that reimagine the beauty of the natural world. Anton's extensive background in the fashion industry, early 19th-century decorative arts, jewelry, and pre-Raphaelite painting all serve as a source of inspiration in his work.
