My practice is rooted in process, where the act of creating becomes a conversation between intention and spontaneity.
About the Artist
Joy Kinna (b. 1997) is an abstract painter based in Victoria, Canada. Her work explores connections to self, family, and the ocean through a deep engagement with materials, where her process itself becomes a vital medium. Her canvases emerge from the intersection of landscapes, memories, emotions, and physical space shaped by both intentional decisions and serendipitous accidents. Joy’s paintings offer spaces for rest, meditation, and personal reflection.
