Melissa in Chelsea
A Co-founder at the design firm Reform Creative, Melissa is originally from South Carolina and has lived on this brownstone block in Chelsea for nine years, following a two-year stint in the East Village. Spot the Uprise artwork by Erin Lynn Welsh and Leif Huron.
My first large piece was a Paule Marrot print called 'Green Leaves.' It has such a strong presence, yet it works with all of my furniture and colors quite well. Once I got started, I really started focusing on color and patterns. For the gallery wall over my sofa, I used bright colors, with black and white to tie everything together.
