This body of work arose from my residency at MacArthur place in Sonoma, California. The paintings developed from small studies created on the grounds there, and meditations on the plants, color, and light of the environment.

As always, my work is more of an interior dialogue with memory and emotion surrounding a place, rather than an attempt to represent its physicality.
