Visit with Christina Flowers
Sweeping arches of color bend across the surface of Christina Flowers’ newest paintings in the Space Between, a continuation of her Curved Horizon series. In these paintings, Christina investigates the liminal space between earth and sky, day and night, today and tomorrow and the optical phenomenon of the curved horizon when viewed from an aerial perspective.
There is narrative created in the process of abstracting the landscape. Each layer, each brushstroke, each line tells a story all its own and I like to image the journey that unfolds as I paint.
