Artists
- Anna KoeferlNew Orleans, LAArtist Page
With a focus on the intersection of contemporary art and craft, Anna Koeferl reimagines the landscape of South Louisiana through interventions in paint, print, and paper.
- Katrine Hildebrandt-HusseyBoston, MAArtist Page
Katrine Hildebrandt-Hussey (b. 1982) is a Boston-based visual artist whose work is inspired by sacred geometry and the metaphysical mapping of space and time. Katrine achieves the geometric patterns in her work by burning her paper surface, allowing for chance to influence her ordered forms. Marked with intentionality and meticulous detail, Katrine’s work investigates the correlation between chaos and order, permanence and transience, and the interconnectivity of the universe.
- Lucha RodríguezAtlanta, GAArtist Page
Lucha Rodríguez (b. 1990) is a Venezuelan-Panamanian artist based in Atlanta, Georgia. Lucha’s knife-cut drawings delicately incise precise patterns and geometric forms into watercolored paper. Light and shadow are key elements of the finished artwork, as the interplay of these two forces challenges the viewer’s perception of dimensionality through the artist's illusionistic paper manipulations. Lucha uses her work as a transitional tool to open the viewer to new experiences and levels of bodily and mental awareness and give form and structure to ethereal relationships between us and our environment.
- Laura BermanKansas City, MOArtist Page
Laura Berman (b. 1973) is a Kansas City, Missouri-based artist who creates images that layer time, space, form and color together. Inspired by the natural world, her work focuses on play, improvisation, and relational dynamics in her work. Laura Berman is a Professor at the Kansas City Art Institute, where she has taught in the Printmaking Department since 2002. She is a Founding Member of the Art Brand Alliance, author of the ongoing series of artist interviews, Reflections on Color and Printmaking, and together with her husband, she runs Prairieside Cottage and Outpost, a family-friendly artist’s retreat in the Flint Hills region of Matfield Green, Kansas.
