Inspired by visions seen in her own dreams, and her parallel practice in meditation and energy work, Ashely's paintings are intuitive and mystical musings on the connection between the conscious and unconscious mind. A recurring cast of symbols act as personal incantations, imbuing her paintings with sigils that connote transformation, strength, and rebirth.

Within my paintings, I use symbols to create bridges between my conscious self and unconscious self.

Deeper meanings are both unveiled and obscured through these symbols, a duality that the artist manipulates deliberately. Frequently, the title of each piece provides subtle hints that guide viewers toward the intended significance, yet the finished paintings are rich with illusions, energy, and a sense of magic.

I work intuitively while letting my mind wander, creating compositions that are multi-layered and textured. Each painting reveals itself as I work and, when finished, is a crystallization of its own esoteric processes – a new visual universe.
